So Tired
I love Trudi to death but I have to say that when it comes to sleeping she gives me a much harder time than Heidi did as a baby. When she is sleeping she will sleep for a good amount of time. But getting her to go to sleep is a little difficult. The only thing that would put her to sleep since she was a newborn is her pacifier. I hate them but it's the only thing that works. So as I'm getting her to go to sleep it falls out from her moving her head and she fusses for me to put it back in. I don't mind doing that at times, but what really makes me tired is the fact that the moment the room starts getting light in there from the sun rising, Trudi will be rising as well. She is definitely awake at that time and wants me to be up too. The whole house it still asleep so I try to nurse her back to sleep and keep her next to me until Gus gets up to go to work. I know I will look back on this as only a memory. Who ever said being a mother is easy?

My Pants
In January I had the opportunity to spend a day with my sister Jennie. We had so much fun shopping for post baby clothes for me as well as going out to eat. One thing I did buy that day was a pair of pants from Old Navy. A few days later I put them on and went about my day. I had already thrown out the receipt, knowing that I was satisfied with them, so I thought. As I was wearing them I began to smell a very bad odor. At first I thought it was my breath but I still couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Soon my nose followed the smell down toward my feet. I smelled the ends of my pants and wanted to gag. They smelled like a dead animal. I took them off and had Gus smell them. He even agreed that it smelled horrible. So naturally I became upset that I wasted my money on them.
The other day my mom suggested to me that I try to take back the pants even though I threw out the receipt. I was hesitant to do so but I decided to give it a try. So today I went to take them back. I first prayed that God would allow me to get my money's worth instead of having to keep some smelly pants that I will never wear. I spoke to the manager and he was nice enough to let me exchange them. I was so happy and I was even able to get a different size and type of pants that fit me best, considering that a nursing mother continues to loose weight, which I had since January. God is always good!

It's not only the kids who are growing
Be sure to take my poll!! For a couple of years now I have been known among my friends as the wife and mother. My friends were all single and busy with school at the time so my life was definitely different from theirs, though we still got along just fine. Now that they are getting married themselves and having babies I am beginning to feel old. It seems just like yesterday we were in the high school ministry together and being involved in every way we could. It's also funny to see that your high school crush is not "the man I'm going to marry."

On a more personal note.....
As you know my husband is not a believer. It is not easy living with one but with God on your side it can be. I have been married for three years and it has taken me that long to finally understand that you cannot argue with a non believer to make them see what's right. I have been so tired of feeling frustrated that I have begun to really take my counselor and family's advice to take EVERYTHING to God. Let me tell you, God answers. Even down to little things such as making my husband being more understanding and loving I have prayed hard about it and my husband's heart will change in that situation. Knowing that God is on my side in everything has given me so much peace, as well as more peace in the home. I am able to show more love to my husband and he is able to return it. I love knowing that I never have to deal with problems on my own.
