My thoughts on this season of American Idol

-Happy Kris won

-Didn't think either contestant deserved to win. Adam had too much experience for American Idol and Kris was forgettable. But he's such a sweet guy!

-Thought this season had the most boring contestants where season 4 had such a variety.

-I loved how Kara got back at the bikini girl. I hope that's the last time we see bikini girl but I'm sure she'll be back next season.

-Keith Urban was great. Kiss= freaks.

-Norman Gentle should have won. Honestly, he was the most entertaining. Love him.

-I love David Cook! His new song is awesome. But Daughtry is still my man.

-Adam's scream was paralyzing. I enjoyed him singing low key only.

-Megan Joy was my pick from the beginning. Once I got to hear her in the finals I never want to hear her again.

I love love American idol but it's time to wrap it up.

Great Time

Since I joined Every Woman's Grace at church this past fall I have become very close to a woman who many of you might know: Delores Michaelson. She has been such a companion to me and has even adopted me as her granddaughter. Whenever I need someone to talk to she is only a phone call away, giving me such godly and compassionate advice. I truly love her like my own grandmother and can only hope that I will be as godly as she is when I am her age.

Yesterday, which was Saturday, my mom took my girls for the afternoon to spend time with them as Delores picked me up to take me to Pasadena. She wanted to take me somewhere special for Mother's Day. She chose The Scarlet Tea Room. I could not believe she took me to some place like this. I felt as though I was eating first class on the Titanic. There were so many selections of teas and little sandwiches to order. The scones came with strawberry spread, whipped cream, and lemon curd. Everything was so delicate. There was even a man playing the piano behind us.

This was one of the best times I've ever had. I felt so so blessed, not only through my experience but by how much love Delores has for me. Thank you God for the people in my life who pour out so much love to me.
