Today my twin sister, Rebecca, came by to spend the day with me. In the early afternoon we went to Rite-Aid to get a few things and to pick up more of my "pills" at the pharmacy. As Rebecca held Trudi, Heidi wanted to hold the hand held basket. It was really cute to see her walk around with it and we dropped into it the things we decided to buy, which were really light and wouldn't weigh it down for her. Rebecca decided to pay for everything and be reimbursed later. I glanced at everything we had, including two lip glosses that were about $8 each.
Once we returned to my place and put the kids down for their nap, Rebecca went over the receipt and calculated the price of everything that was mine. She told me the amount and I greatly disagreed. I knew there was no way she was owed that much. So we went through everything that was bought at Rite-Aid and took what was ours. Rebecca picked up the lip glosses and said, "Aren't these yours??" I said, "No! I saw them in the basket at Rite-Aid and thought you were buying those."
Rebecca was really puzzled and said, "But the whole time I thought you were getting them." Suddenly I broke into laughter when I realized what happened. I explained, "It looks like Heidi did her own shopping! She was dropping things into the basket as were were looking at what we wanted to buy!"
Thankfully Rebecca still had the receipt to return the lip glosses.
