Movin' Grandma

Today my mom said goodbye to her two bedroom apartment in Sherman Oaks and said a big hello to her new one bedroom in North Hills (more of Granada Hills). It was kind of a sad time for me because all of us girls had moved out and we were not living together anymore, not even with my mom. Now that my mom was on her own it made me miss the times where all seven of us lived together.

To help her move many of us showed up. There was Rebecca, me, Julie and her husband, Alf; Jennie and her husband, Mike; and even Gus showed up. It was such a blessing for Gus to be willing to help out since he never really wants to be around Christians. But God called him here today and I could see how much he enjoyed being around believers. He even proposed a BBQ with my family. I posted some pictures of the move. For some reason it's easy to take photos of events and forget to make sure you take one with yourself in it. So I posted a picture of my foot with an ugly blister to prove the hard labor.

WOW - those pictures were hysterical when we took them, but to see them on your blog - yikes!! Embarrassing to say the least....very least. Oh well, it's fun to have a good time in the midst of all the hard work. :)

Haha.. I had no idea Jennie took those pix. That must have been when I was screaming "dont take any of me!!" LOL. Gesh that WAS hard work indeed. I'm glad Mom has a nice place, but moving made me a bit sad too. Sometimes I just wana be a Toys R Us kid forever.
