Poor Trudi

Yesterday Gus left for work at 8:00 in the morning. He and I had very little sleep the night before from Trudi keeping us up with her burning fever and all her crying. He worked all day and had to work overtime, which meant he didn't get home until 7:00 at that night. We both knew that we couldn't bare another night of crying and had to find out what exactly was wrong with Trudi. So we took her to the emergency room in Burbank and didn't get out until 10:00 pm. All four of us were beat tired.

We found out that Trudi has an ear infection, which is what we guessed in the beginning from all her ear pulling. Fearing that the infection could get worse and make her lose her hearing, the doctor prescribed amoxicillin. Heidi is allergic to that antibiotic but we'll see how Trudi handles it. All I know is that I don't like how it makes babies constantly take a bowel movement. Too many diapers! I'm just glad that Trudi is beginning to feel better. I'll ask Gus if he'll be kind enough to watch her tomorrow so that Heidi and I can go to church.

Poor girl. Samantha has a fever too--I'm sure related to her ear infections. We're home from church with her today. If her fever persists, I'll call the doctor, but as it is we're not supposed to go back until July 7 since the doctor thinks it may heal on its own.
