Long Time No See

Yesterday was a good day for me. My friend Kelly, who I hadn't seen since I was pregnant with Heidi, came down from Northern California and took the opportunity to see me. I was so happy to see her that I began to cry. She is my dearest friend. She is such a happy and positive person who loves to have fun. When I first married my husband three years ago I wasn't walking close to God at all. I was being rebellious. Then God brought her into my life as a co worker. I saw right away her love for the Lord and I desired to have the same relationship that she had. It was through her that God slowly began to humble my heart.

After going together to lunch yesterday my husband offered to make dinner for she and I. To add to the fun I invited my sister Rebecca. Gus was so sweet to set our small table for the three of us girls. He made a delicious dinner. There were carne asada tacos and pico de gayo mixed with quacamole to put in the tacos. It was so so good! Rebecca was drooling at the mouth over the tacos, just like she usually does with his cooking. :)

I was so glad that my husband got to really see the passion of the Lord in Kelly. It really got to show him that the passion I have is a real thing, not just a personal fling.

I was sad to have Kelly leave yesterday, not knowing when I will see her again. But overall my day was definitely blessed by having her around, which gave my husband the opportunity to serve me and make my heart happy.
