New Friends

Everyday I take the girls on a walk in the stroller through the neighborhood around our place. On the nicest street I've always admired a home, which I would tell Gus is my favorite home. It's a beautiful single story house that looks like "the American dream house." Last week as we were walking by, the man of the house came over to me to say hi. He told me that he has four kids, two of them being twins at the age of two, just like Heidi. I later met his wife and was invited to come play with their kids sometime. They couldn't have been nicer to me.

So yesterday I stopped by to meet their twins. They had a lot of their friends over with their kids so I felt it was safe to come in. Everyone was so sweet and inviting to me, never making me feel like a stranger, just a friend to them. I couldn't believe the inside of this house. It was amazing. My sister Jennie would have died since she loves houses. The entire house was up to date from floor to ceiling, even the furniture was amazing. Everyone gathered in the backyard where they had an outdoor lounge with a flat screen TV, a built in grill, a built in sink, a guest house in the back, a huge jungle gym for the kids, and a pool on the side.

I eventually figured out that the man of the house, David, was an actor, which makes sense for the wealth. He told me he was on The Office, which I don't watch. For those of you who do, I found a picture of him in case some of you might know who he is. I also posted a few pics from that day.

Yeah, I recognize him for sure. He plays a jokester kind of guy who's really crass. He's barely on the show, though (although I haven't seen season 4 yet, so maybe he had more air time during that season). I'm glad you had fun! It was really nice of them to invite you over. It's rare to find nice stranger these days.

Ha, I wish I would get invited into a celebrity's home. I am sure some must live around here :). Guess I should go on more walks. And to echo Jennie, he's a real jerk on that show. I hope that he's not like that in real life, but from the sounds of it, he's not. Invite him to church!
