Horror

I cannot tell you just how big of a mess I had to clean up yesterday. Even though Trudi is well she's still finishing up her 10 day treatment of amoxicillin. Due to the medicine she has made so many messy diapers. Even this story blows Jennie's mess she had to take care of out of the water:

Yesterday morning I was laying down on my bed with Trudi sitting up next to me. I had just fed her when I saw her begin to make faces of "the need to go." I planned on waiting a few more minutes before changing her diaper to make sure she was finished. When she began to move away from the spot where she was sitting I gasped in horror. There on my bed sheet and pillowcase was all the stuff that had oozed out on the side of her diaper. It was a HUGE mess. I grabbed a towel to put underneath her as I laid her on the bed. I first had the idea that the mess was caused by the way she was sitting, making the diaper not fully cover her. But when I stripped her down I saw the problem was that there wasn't enough room to hold it all in the diaper. When I began to wipe down the side of her leg she began to go again, this time on the towel. I gasped again and cried, "Noooo!"

After finally getting Trudi clean I took off my bedding, agreeing with my husband that I should just throw out the pillowcase and sheet. They were pretty ruined.

Then this morning. After my sister Julie and I dropped off Heidi in the church nursery we headed over to Trudi's room to drop her off. As we were walking I noticed that Trudi had exploded through her diaper, making everything ooze up her back and down onto her pants. I thought to myself, "Not at church!"

So I had to take her into the nursing room, strip her down AGAIN, and put on some funky onesie I had in my purse. When I finally put her into the nursery I jokingly told the helpers what happened, explaining why she's not dressed for church.

What do I have to say? NO THANK YOU TO ANTIBIOTICS!

WOW. What a disaster! That's so gross, but poor Trudi! She must not have liked it any more than you did. :)
