Having Lunch

This past Wednesday I had the opportunity once again to meet with a woman from church named Laurel Martin. She is such a dear friend to me and has been so helpful with her experiences living with a non-believer. My marriage has definitely been easier for me with her guidance.

She offered to take me out to lunch again after my doctor's appointment. I was thankfully able to get a sitter for Heidi to be able to focus more on her counseling me. She took me to a restaurant in Glendale called Minx. I would say it is more of a lounge than a restaurant and most definitely the nicest place I have eaten at. She was kind enough to let me order anything I wanted. So I decided to start out by getting the artichokes for an appetizer. They were really good with the dipping sauce. Then for my entree I ordered the New York steak. I cannot even describe how juicy and good it was. As you can see in the picture, it came with yummy mashed potatoes and the best onion rings my mouth has ever tasted. For dessert, there was no holding back for this pregnant lady! I ordered the lemon meringue pie. Instead of a cream filling it had ice cream with a lemon cookie on top. It was too good to handle.

Overall, my time spent with her was definitely a blessing. I am very thankful to have her in my life.
